When Are You Open?
We are open from May 1 until October 31. We do have winterized water pipes so do allow for early (April) or late (November, December) stays. Please call for availability and details outside of the core May 1-October 31 season.
Do You Offer Discounts?
We offer discounts for longer stays. Guests generally get one day free if they book for 7 days or 20% off if they book for a month. These discounts are built into our website reservation system so if you book online you automatically receive these discounts.
Do You Have Seasonal Sites?
Yes. Outside of our overnight section (The Loop) we offer seasonal stays. Please see the Seasonal Rates section on our website for more details or call/email.
What Is The Minimum Age For Guests To Book?
All primary reservation holders must be 21 years of age or older.
Can Children Visit?
Yes, children under the age of 21 years may visit Rolling Hills guests for both day and overnight stays with prior permission from management.
What Hook-Ups Are Provided?
All sites have 30/50A power plus water and sewer connections.
What Is The Maximum RV Length?
We are big-rig friendly. Our largest pull-thru sites are over 60 feet in length and our premium back-in sites are up to 80 feet long.
Do You Have Electronic Gates?
Park access is controlled by electronic gates. A code is emailed/texted the morning of your arrival and is active for the duration of your stay.
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
We require 100% payment upfront to make a reservation. Guests staying for less than 7 days may cancel up to 7 days before the date of arrival and only pay a $25 cancellation fee. Guests staying longer than 7 days would pay a cancellation fee of 10% of the total value of their reservation if cancelled 7 days or more before the date of arrival. Cancellations under 7 days from arrival receive no refund.
How Far Are You From Downtown Ottawa/Parliament Hill?
We are just 28 minutes to Parliament Hill. One of the closest RV parks to the Nation's capital.
Is There Public Transit Near-By?
Currently the O-Train East ends at Blair station 22 minutes from Rolling Hills. The O-Train is currently being extended and when completed Trim station (and parking lot) will be a 13 minute drive from our park. Expected completion is sometime in 2026. At the moment there are shuttle buses running from Trim to Blair, which takes approximately 40 minutes.
Are You On The Water?
We are not on the water, but you can see the Ottawa River from the campground. We are just an 8 minute drive to the public boat launch.
Do You Allow Wood Burning Fires?
Yes we do, but all wood must be purchased at the park store as the Province of Ontario bans the transportation of firewood between locations.
Do You Sell Propane?
We are fully licensed to sell propane tank refills.
Do You Sell Alcohol?
We have a full Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario license to sell alcohol as a convenience store operator. Please visit the park store to see our selection of beers, coolers and wines.
Are There Near-By Grocery Stores?
The city of Rockland is 5 minutes away and has a full selection of grocery stores, including a Walmart. Rockland also has coffee shops, restaurants, pharmacies, hair/nail salons, gas stations and banks. We also have an on-site park store that has most items you may have forgotten or just to get a treat!
Do You Have On-Site Laundry?
Yes, we have 10 on-site washer and dryers. We charge C$3.00 per load (wash or dry).
Do You Have On-Site Bathrooms/Showers?
Yes, we have newly renovated washrooms and showers that are open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Our facilities are cleaned daily.
Are Pets Allowed?
Yes! We are very pet friendly and have two fenced-in dog runs. Outside of the dog runs pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Please pick up after your pet.
Do You Have Quiet Hours?
Quiet hours are 11pm to 9am and are strictly enforced. Nothing above a quiet conversation is allowed during quiet hours.
Are Generators Allowed?
We do not allow the use of generators unless there is a power outage affecting the entire park.
Do You Have Wi-Fi?
All of our overnight sites have access to free Wi-Fi powered by Starlink. Additionally the park has plenty of good lines of sight to the sky for personal use of Starlink connections.
How Is Cell Phone Reception?
All three major Canadian wireless carriers (Bell ,Telus & Rogers) cover our park and provide reception good enough to complete video calls.
When Is The Pool Open?
The outdoor, heated pool is generally open from May long weekend (roughly the third week in May) until Canadian Thanksgiving (middle of October). The pool will close during lightning storms.
